Laboratory for Chemical Analysis



The laboratory is part of the department Veterinary Public Health & Food Safety and the research group Veterinary Public Health & Zoönoses. The department is accredited according to ISO-17025 (Belac). Next to education, our laboratorium is involved in various areas of research and scientific service to the community (mostly chemical analysis of organic molecules).

The main research areas are:

- Anaylis of residues and contaminants in various matrices (animal origin) and in the
  environment.
- Development of chromatographic techniques for residue analysis.
- Metabolisation studies of veterinary drugs with invertebrates.

Project research for third parties with GC-MSn and LC-MSn on request.
