I initiated the Particle & Interfacial Technology research group at Ghent University. Our main focus is related to the preparation, characterization (with special focus on particle size analysis), stabilization and application of dispersed systems, such as (nano)emulsions, liposomal dispersions or (nano)suspensions, also considering interfacial phenomena. Current research topics include the prevention of heat coagulation in concentrated dairy emulsions, processing effects on (plant-based) protein functionality, as well as the formulation of double emulsions.
