Technology Transfer Office
Since 2010, I am supporting the Food2Know team as in-house European Patent Attorney securing its intellectual property (patent filing & prosecution, support in licensing).
Prior to joining Ghent University, I was director at the IP firm ‘De Clercq & Partners’ and patent attorney at the Flanders Institute for Biotechnology (VIB). In addition, I lectured an IP courses at the University of Antwerp. Earlier in my career, I worked as patent counsel at Innogenetics, a Belgian healthcare biotech company. I received my PhD in Immunology and my Masters of Science from McGill University, Canada. Before that I studied botany at Ghent University and tropical medical biology at the University of Antwerp.
