The Laboratory of Pharmacology & Toxicology performs non-clinical and clinical research with a focus on ADME characteristics (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion) of drugs, contaminants and feed additives in animals and animal models. We have a track record in the analysis of small molecules and metabolites in animals, as well as in feed and animal-derived food and environmental samples.
Our team is member of MYTOX and MYTOX-SOUTH expertise centers (www.mytox.be; www.mytoxsouth.org), dealing with mycotoxins and human and animal health in the North and South. We develop a.o. in vivo models for efficacy testing of mycotoxin mitigation strategies, and biomarkers for mycotoxin exposure in animals.
